Celebrou-se em 2006 os 450 anos da morte de Santo Inácio de Loyola, fundador da Companhia de Jesus e o 500º aniversário do nascimento de São Francisco Xavier, o primeiro jesuíta a alcançar a China e o Japão.

A História de Macau, está desde sempre ligada à história da Companhia de Jesus. Fernão Mendes Pinto, um irmão jesuíta, que pela primeira vez terá registado o nome de Macau, em 1555.

Esta emissão, é assim um tributo à contribuíção da Companhia de Jesus, como elo fundamental da ligação entre o Ocidente e o Oriente, não só como um veículo cultural, científico, linguístico, artístico e religioso, mas também político e diplomático.

In 2006 it celebrated the 450 years since the death of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus and the 500th anniversary of the birth of St. Francisco Xavier, the first Jesuit to reach China and Japan

The History of Macau, is always linked to the history of the Society of Jesus. Fernão Mendes Pinto, a Jesuit brother, who for the first time will have written the name of Macau in 1555.

This issue is thus a tribute to the contribution of the Society of Jesus, as the essential link connection between the West and East, as a vehicle not only cultural, scientific, linguistic, artistic and religious but also political and diplomatic.

“Tempo Agradável para uma Boa Colheita”.

As in the previous four series, the hexagonal design of seals appears to symbolize the special characters of the Pa Kua".

In the fifth issue "I Ching Pa Kua, the symbols represented are:

Gou, Da Gou, Ding, Heng, Xun, Jing, Gu, Sheng and in the souvenir sheet a representation of
"Nice Time for a Good Harvest".
