Prestige Stamp Collection of Literature and its Characters

Em outubro de 2005, os Correios de Macau, emitiram uma fabulosa carteira temática, dedicada à literatura tradicional chinesa e aos seus caracteres, sob a forma de dois livros.
As emissões de 1999 e de 2002 da série Literatura e Personagens Literárias do Pavilhão Vermelho’, serviram de base ao referidos dois livros.

In October 2005, the Macao Post Office, issued a fabulous thematic pack, dedicated to traditional Chinese literature and its characters, in the form of two books.

The Literature and its Characters of the Red Mansion of 1999 and 2002 issues was the basis of these two books.

The People’s Liberation Army Macau Garrison Thematic Pack 2004

Em 2004, os Correios de Macau prepararam uma carteira temática, para assinalar a passagem do 5º aniversário do estabelecimento da Guarnição em Macau do Exérvito de Libertação do Povo Chinês.
A carteira contém os seis selos, um bloco filatélico, o FDC com Selos e o FDC com Bloco da anteriormente referida emissão filatélica.

In 2004, the Macao Post prepared a thematic pack to mark the passage of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Guarrison in Macau of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The pack contains the six stamps, a souvenir sheet,the FDC with stamps and the FDC with souvenir sheet of the philatelic issue.

The 600 Anniversary of ZHENG HE’s Maritime Expeditions Thematic Pack

Zheng He (鄭和) (1371-1433) was born in modern-day Yunnan Province,



Between 1405 and 1433, the Ming government sponsored a series of seven naval expeditions. Emperor Yongle designed them to establish a Chinese presence, impose imperial control over trade, and impress foreign peoples in the Indian Ocean basin. He also might have wanted to extend the tributary system, by which Chinese dynasties traditionally recognized foreign peoples.
Zheng He was placed as the admiral in control of the huge fleet and armed forces that undertook these expeditions. Zheng He's first voyage consisted of a fleet of around 200 or 300 ships holding almost 28,000 crewmen. These were probably mainly large six-masted ships - it is now thought that the large and flat nine-masted "treasure ships" were probably river ships used by the Emperor.
Zheng He's fleets visited
Arabia, East Africa, India, Indonesia and Thailand (at the time called Siam), dispensing and receiving goods along the way. Zheng He presented gifts of gold, silver, porcelain and silk; in return, China received such novelties as ostriches, zebras, camels, ivory and giraffes.


Zheng He generally sought to attain his goals through diplomacy, and his large army awed most would-be enemies into submission. But a contemporary reported that Zheng He "walked like a tiger" and did not shrink from violence when he considered it necessary to impress foreign peoples with China's military might. He ruthlessly suppressed pirates who had long plagued Chinese and southeast Asian waters. He also intervened in a civil disturbance in order to establish his authority in Ceylon, and he made displays of military force when local officials threatened his fleet in Arabia and East Africa. From his fourth voyage, he brought envoys from thirty states who traveled to China and paid their respects at the Ming court.

In 1424, the Yongle Emperor died. His successor, the Hongxi Emperor (reigned 1424–1425), decided to curb the influence at court. Zheng He made one more voyage under the Xuande Emperor (reigned 1426–1435), but after that Chinese treasure ship fleets ended. Zheng He died during the treasure fleet's last voyage. Although he has a tomb in China, it is empty: he was, like many great admirals, buried at sea.
Zheng He, on his seven voyages, successfully relocated large numbers of Chinese Muslims to Malacca, Palembang, Surabaya and other places and Malacca became the center of Islamic learning and also a large international Islamic trade center of the southern seas.

His missions showed impressive demonstrations of organizational capability and technological might, but did not lead to significant trade, since Zheng He was an admiral and an official, not a merchant. Chinese merchants continued to trade in Japan and southeast Asia, but Imperial officials gave up any plans to maintain a Chinese presence in the Indian Ocean and even destroyed most of the nautical charts that Zheng He had carefully prepared. The decommissioned treasure ships sat in harbors until they rotted away, and Chinese craftsmen forgot the technology of building such large vessels.

SHEK WAN ceramic Thematic Pack 2007

Na história da ceramic chinesa, que conta com vários séculos, existem diversos fornos famosos.
Os fornos de Shek Wan, introduzidos na dinastia Song (960-1279), ganharam grande relevo na dinastia Ming (1368-1844) pela sua excelência.
Localizada em Foshan, na província de Guangdong, Shek Wan é considerada como o ‘Centro da Cerâmica do Sul da China’.
As porcelanas, muitas vezes do dia-a-dia, apresentam vidrados de várias cores , entre estas, o preto-acinzentado, o verde-azulado, o castanho claro e o azul-acinzentado.
Os temas, são normalmente, animais ou figuras humanas, nas mais diversas actividades, como a pesca, o corte de árvores ou a leitura.
Actualmente, a cerâmica de shek Wan goza de grande popularidade a nível mundial.

Os correios de Macau, emitiram em 3 de Fevereiro de 2007 uma carteira temática, contendo, uma folha miniatura com oito selos e um bloco filatélico dos Correios Nacionais.

In the history of Chinese ceramic, with several centuries, there are several famous ovens. The ovens, Shek Wan, introduced in the Song dynasty (960-1279), gained great importance in the Ming dynasty (1368-1844) for its excellence.

Located in Foshan, in Guangdong province, Shek Wan is considered as the 'Ceramics Center of South China'.

The porcelain, often from day to day, has glazed in various colors, among them, the black-gray, the green-blue, light brown and blue-gray.

The themes are usually animal or human figures, in several activities such as fishing, cutting trees or reading.

At the present, ceramics of Shek Wan enjoys great popularity worldwide.

The Macao Post, issued on 3 February 2007 a thematic pack, containing a miniature sheet with eight stamps and philatelic a block of the National Post.

5th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region Thematic Pack 2004

Emissão conjunta dos Correios de Macau e dos Correios Nacionais Chineses, para comemorar os quinto aniversário do estabelecimento da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau (RAEM).

Após o estabelecer de relações diplomáticas, entre Portugal e República Popular da China, em 1979, e do reconhecimento de que Macau se tratava de território chinês sob administração portuguesa, as partes entenderam necessário iniciar conversações, com vista à resolução da questão do estatuto de Macau.
Após vários anos de conversações bilaterais, em Abril de 1987, foi assinado em Pequim o acordo que estabeleceria o regresso do território de Macau à plena soberania da China.
A Lei Básica da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau da People's Republic of China, foi aprovada pelo Congresso Nacional do Povo (CNP) em 31 de Março de 1993, bem como o direito constitucional de Macau, em vigor em 20 de Dezembro de 1999.
Em 19 de Dezembro de 1999, numa cerimonia conjunta realizada em Macau, Portugal entregou oficialmente o território.

Joint Issue of Macao Post and the Chinese National Post to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR).

After establishing of diplomatic relations between Portugal and Republic of China in 1979, and the recognition of Macau that it was Chinese territory under Portuguese administration, the parties felt necessary to start talks with a view to resolving the issue of the status of Macau . After several years of bilateral talks in April 1987, was signed in Beijing the Agreement establishing the territory of Macao's return to full sovereignty of China. The Basic Law of Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, was approved by the National People's Congress (NPC) on 31 March 1993, and the constitutional law of Macao, taking effect on 20 December 1999. On 19 December 1999, in a joint ceremony held in Macau, Portugal officially handed the territory.

Charming Chinese Lanterns Thematic Pack 2006

Emissão conjunta dos Correios de Macau, dos Correios de Hong-Kong e dos Correios da Repúvlica Popular da China, sobre o tema das Lanternas Populares Chinesas.

A mini-folha dos Correios Nacionais, com 10 selos, apresenta cinco diferentes tipos de lanternas tradicionais, das regiões de Shaanxi, Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang e Guangdong.
São representadas as ‘Lanterna-Peixe’, ‘Lanterna Couve Chinesa’, ‘Lanterna Flôr de Lótus’, ‘Lanterna Dragão e Fénix’ e a ‘Lanterna Borboleta’.
Na preparação dos selos, foi utilizada uma tinta fluorescente especial, que na presença de luz ultravioleta, permite mostrar os desenhos, com um brilho semelhante ao das lanternas iluminadas.

A mini-folha dos Correios de Hong-Kong, com seis selos, mostra-nos três tipos diferentes de lanternas populares chinesas.
São representadas as lanternas: ‘Lanterna Deusa’, ‘Lanterna Flôr de Lótus’, a ‘Lanterna Narciso’ e a ‘Lanterna Pavão’.
Também os selos de Hong-Kong, foram impressos utilizando a mesma referida técnica da tinta fluorencente.

A mini-folha dos Correios de Macau, com 8 selos, representam as coloridas e atractivas lanternas, que são penduradas fora das janelas das casas, durante a Festa da Lanterna.
Também estes selos, foram impressos, utilizando a técnica da tinta fluorescente, sensível à luz ultravioleta.
Joint Issue of Macao Post, the Post of Hong Kong and the Popular Republic of China Post on the theme Charming Chinese Lanterns.

The mini-sheet of the National Post, with 10 stamps, has five different types of traditional lanterns, the regions of Shaanxi, Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong. Are represented as' Fish Lantern ', ' Chinese White Cabbage Lantern', ' Lotus Lantern’, ‘Dragon and Phoenix Lantern' and 'Butterfly Lantern'. In preparation of the stamps, we used a fluorescent ink that in the presence of ultraviolet light, allows the drawings show, with brightness similar to the lanterns lit.

The mini-sheet of the Post Office of Hong Kong, with six stamps, shows us three different types of popular Chinese lanterns. The represented lanterns are: 'Goddess Lantern', 'Lotus Lantern "and ‘Narcissus Lantern’ and the ‘Peacok Lantern’. Also, the Hong Kong stamps were printed using the same technique of fluorescent ink.

The mini-sheet of Macao Post, with 8 stamps, represent the colorful and attractive lanterns, which are hanging out the windows of homes during the Lantern Festival. Also these stamps were printed using the technique of fluorescent ink, sensitive to ultraviolet light.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Thematic Pack

Em 14 de Julho de 2001, o Comité Olímpico Internacional, em Moscovo, e após votação, determinou que a cidade de Beijing, na República Popular da China, era a escolhida para albergar os 29ºs Jogos Olímpicos da Era Moderna.

Os Jogos Olímpicos, tiveram a sua cerimónia de abertura (espectáculo simplesmente extraordinário) pelas 20h00 do dia 8 de Agosto de 2008., no Estádio Nacional, também baptizado com o nome de ‘Ninho de Andorinha’.

A Tocha Olímpica, simbolo da importância do desportivísmo, percorreu os cinco continentes, sob nome de ‘Percurso da Harmonia’ e chegou a Macau no dia 3 de Maio de 2008.

No dia da abertura dos Jogos, a Direcção dos Correios de Macau, associou-se ao evento, com o lançamento de uma carteira temática, sob o tema ‘Jogos Olímpicos de Beijing 2008’.

On 14 July 2001, the International Olympic Committee in Moscow, and after voting, determined that the city of Beijing, in China, was chosen to host the 29th Olympic Games of the Modern Era.

The Olympic Games had its opening ceremony (extraordinary spectacle) at 20PM on August 8, 2008 in the National Stadium, also known by the name of 'Bird’s Nest’.

The Olympic Torch, symbol of the importance of sportsmanship, toured the five continents, on behalf of 'Journey of Harmony' and came to Macau on May 3, 2008.

On the opening of the Games, the Macao Post, associated with the event, with the launch of a thematic pack, under the theme "Olympic Games in Beijing 2008".
